Sacrament of Penance
Friday: 11.00am - 12 Noon (Cathedral)
Saturday: Following the 8:30am Mass until 10:30am (St Mary's Church, West End)
In all parishes, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available by appointment.
Most priests will gladly hear confessions before or after weekday Masses (depending on other appointments on any individual occasion)

BAPTISM BOOKINGS
Baptisms in the Cathedral Parish can be arranged by contacting the Parish Office, email cathedralparish@tsv.catholic.org.au. It is a requirement in the Townsville Catholic Diocese that Baptism Preparation be undertaken by the parents for the baptism of the first child. Baptism Preparations are held at St Francis Xavier Church, Railway Estate at 6pm on the last Wednesday of every month.
BAPTISM TIMES IN THE PARISH:
SUNDAY | Sacred Heart Cathedral | 11.45am | every 1st, 3rd, 4th & 5th Sunday of the Month
SUNDAY | St Mary's Church, West End | 8am | every 2nd Sunday of the Month (baptism is during the mass)
SUNDAY | St Joseph's Church, North Ward | 9am | every 4th Sunday of the Month (baptism is during the mass)
Baptisms in other churches in the Parish can be made upon request.
WEDDING BOOKINGS
Cathedral parish weddings can be booked on a Saturday, 1pm and 3pm, or on a Friday after 2pm. Priests will be made available from the Cathedral parish to conduct these weddings. Information on marriage preparation is available from the Cathedral Parish Office, email cathedralparish@tsv.catholic.org.au.
Please note that confetti, rice, flower petals or similar substances are not permitted in the Cathedral and other church buildings in the parish.
FUNERAL BOOKINGS
A funeral is a time of sadness and mourning, but for Christians it is also a time to rejoice, for the Lord Jesus has won a great victory over death and made it possible for us to pass through to new and eternal life. This is our unwavering hope. Funerals to be held in the Cathedral can be arranged through the Funeral Directors in consultation with the Parish Priests and Cathedral Parish Office staff.
