Blessing of services at Mater Hospital, Townsville
Bishop Timothy Harris has blessed the new Maternity Unit , expanded Emergency Dept and the refurbished Renal facility at the Mater Hospital in Townsville . With this investment, the Mater has once again invested in people offering them exemplary services into the future . Bishop Tim said he was delighted to catch up with Pat Brady the Mater Board Chair, Phillip Thompson MP and several other VIPs including key representatives from Townsville University Hospital . (The two hospitals work closely together for the benefit of the whole community . ) The Sisters of Mercy were also present reminding us that their original vision of compassion and mercy still underpins the Mater Hospital today .
