Passing the Flame at St Teresa's

The newly created Personal Parish of St Teresa's , Garbutt held an inspiring “Passing the Flame” gathering with our First Nations Peoples. Bishop Tim took the opportunity to speak more about the new parish and how its identity and purpose was something that the Diocese was proud of. The gathering, sponsored by Mercy Partners in collaboration with the Diocese, local parish leadership and indigenous groups,  has enabled us to share stories and listen to each other as the work towards ongoing reconciliation and respect continues. Yarning circles were held in the afternoon .  According to Bishop Tim, this was a “ Synodality in action “ experience and one worth attending.
