2024 Activities You Can Join!

Ignite Conference 2024

• What: A powerful and immersive 'mountain-top' experience, a conference for thousands of young Catholics across Queensland to join together and experience incredible workshops, Mass, keynote speakers, Adoration, prayer and worship. Join the Townsville Diocesan group for an incredible journey of faith, friendship and excitement. 
• When:
  • September School Holidays (19-22 September)
  • How Long? A Week. Our group will go from 18-24 September 2024.
• Where: St Laurence's College, South Brisbane
• Who: High School (yr 8-12), & young adults (18-30 yrs), teachers and supervisors/parents!
• Estimated Cost $1000 - $1200, (can be less, can be more, depending on the costs of Flights).
• Some communities offer fundraising, check with your school and local parish!

• Registration and Expression of Interest will close: July 31 2024

Alpha Youth Series

• What: Engaging video series with deep conversations about spirituality, life, and God. It is an 8-week series with an awesome weekend trip away!

Alpha Life Essentials 

• What: A chance for young adults to talk about real topics and discussions about life!

YCS (Young Christian Students) 

• What: A Student-Run Social Justice Movement that challenges young people to see their reality and make real change. 
• Who: Secondary School Students.

Young Vinnies 

• What: A chance for young people to reach out and help bring people up, a great fundraising, social justice and service group with great connections, resources and a truly inspiring Vincentian Spirituality. 
• Who: Secondary School Students, in schools that run Vinnies programs. 

Mini Vinnies 

• What: A space for primary students to learn about and experience those in need. 
• Who: Primary School Students, in schools that run Vinnies programs.
