Diocesan Policies

The Diocese of Townsville is a diverse community of parishes, ministries and agencies that embraces the good news of Jesus Christ and exists to serve God’s mission in the world.

Within this context, it is necessary for the Diocese to develop policies that allow for consistency between the mission-centred purpose of the Diocese and its compliance obligations in response to canonical and legislative requirements. Diocesan policies are documented and authorised directives, intended to influence and determine decisions and other courses of action. They embrace the vision, goals and acceptable procedures of the Diocese.
