Adult Faith Education

 

The provision of effective preparation for lay leadership in parish ministries and the promotion of spiritual development throughout the diocese are among the strategic directions established by the Diocesan Pastoral Council. 

An  Adult  Faith Formation and Education Committee has been established to address these strategic directions.  The  Committee is charged with the following tasks:

  • ensuring that lay people across the Diocese have access to courses and programs that will provide them with the necessary formation they require to be effective in their particular areas of ministry
  • enabling our lay people to access opportunities and experiences that will foster their faith and assist them in their spiritual development
  • developing and implementing a policy on the accreditation for lay people in key administrative and pastoral ministry roles
