DATSICC advises the Bishop on matters pertaining to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic communities in the Townsville Diocese.The membership of this council includes elders and aboriginal people from the various communities along with members from Diocesan Agencies.
Significant centres of aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ministry operate in Mount Isa, Palm Island and Townsville (Garbutt).
