Services. Centacare Townsville has been working with people across North Queensland since 1979. Last year, we assisted over 10,000 people with support, education and counselling. We provide a range of programs to assist individuals, families and communities. Our 160 staff operate out of ten sites across North Queensland and the Gulf Country with outreach to a further eight towns in the region.Centacare Townsville is an organisation with a strong inclusive community focus. We are committed to improving the wellbeing of the many communities in which we work. Some of the many services that Centacare provides include: Family & Relationship Counselling, Regional Family Dispute Resolution Service, Circle of Life Program, Education & Life Skills Program, Counselling Intervention Services, Job Preparation Programs, Specialised Courses for Men, Gambling Help, Parenting Groups and many more. More than 12, 000 students attend our 33 Catholic schools and colleges in the Townsville Diocese* - an area that centres on the city of Townsville and extends west to Mount Isa, south to Proserpine, north to Ingham and includes Palm Island. A Catholic education provides students with more than just academic instruction. Students from Prep - Year 12 are educated to develop academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically to become compassionate and contributing members of our world. The St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centres are supported by Townsville Catholic Education and the Townsville Catholic Dicoese. The Centres cater for babies through to children of six years.
